LG smart TVs got NFT support

LG has announced that its smart TVs support non-fungible token (NFT), which can be purchased from the Art Lab marketplace.

NFT technology allows the certification of ownership of digital assets, which can be images, videos or text.

The first phase of the feature is available only to U.S. users who own televisions running webOS operating system version 5.0 or higher.

QR codes on the screen will be used to purchase the tokens and the Wallypto app will be used for transactions. Financial transactions will be made through USD Coin (USDC) cryptocurrency.

LG's NFT platform is built on the Hedera network using Hashgraph technology. The South Korean company is one of the few corporations actively participating in the development of the Hedera platform. The network is supposed to be faster and more efficient than blockchain.
